CardFive Evaluation Mode
CardFive Evaluation Mode offers you now the ability of fully test all the features of the most powerful CardFive edition. It applies to all editions below Professional, and enables for 50 days or 50 uses all the Professional edition capabilities.

when running the update for the first time, and if using a version other than Professional, a Dialog Box will appear allowing the user to check the Activate Evaluation Mode button and pressing OK (User may choose to activate the Evaluation Mode option later on, by selecting the menu option File | Evaluation Mode).
From that step forward, all the Professional features will be available during 50 days or 50 uses- save a card, print a card (each card/each copy), save a database records

Encode Via Driver
One of the major innovations in this update is the possibility of encoding Via Driver. Following the tendency of the printer manufacturers of moving color handling into the windows drivers, NFive adjusted it's DCL immense power to this new reality by mixing both technologies, the Direct Command Language (DCL) and the Windows printer driver subsystem.
As you probably know, it is impossible to encode a SmartCard, contact or contactless via the Windows driver system. NFive's DCL does it for decades, lately with some loss of printing quality mainly to the fact mentioned above, which we are trying to overcome anyway in due time.
So, this new system uses the DCL to position and encode the card and with some technical tricks, once the card encoded, it is printed via the manufacturer provided Windows driver.

- Add User Registration form.
- Image database ratio configurable per image, up to 3 different images with different ratios. Ratio set on the db field will be automatically applied on the card image when using drag and drop.
- Ability to set color to shapes using a database field. Link a shape to a Database source and type the RGB value on the database field. The Shape color will change according to the field data.
Improvements:
- When opening a card file connected to a database it will automatically open on database view; also the slider record selection will open if any criteria is defined.

- Implemented JISII for magnetic encoding according to manufacturer request.

- When POAT is in use, printer Properties and change printer functionality will be temporarily inaccessible to avoid losing printer in use information.
- On Database | Reports, 2 buttons added to Add/Remove all fields to print.
- Select object from Document options (Menu File | Card Setup) to highlight its properties on Dashboard.
- CardFive no longer allows multiple instances; Multiple documents are always open on the same instance in different pages.
- Menu Shortcuts corrected when on database view.
- Small flicks removed from dialog boxes on mouse move.
Other issues solved:
- When contactless encoding using an external plug-in and a text file data source, no data was being encoded. Data wasn't passed correctly.
- Solved problem of aborting job when using a Fargo DTC550 with ACG LF Contactless encoder.
- I&A Smart printer - solved problem when printing process is done. POAT error message no longer appears.
- Solved problems with MySQL ODBC 5.1.6 driver connection
- Minor issues solved
